Toro recalls snow blowers and lawn mowers

The Toro Company is recalling 23 000 Power Clear snow blowers and 6200 Recycler 20" lawn mowers due to fire potential and burn hazards

The carburetors on the lawn mowers and snow blowers develop fuel leaks and can ignite when exposed to flame. Although no fires or injuries have been reported, there have been about 500 reported carburetor leaks.

The products were sold at Toro dealers in the U.S. and Canada from September 2009 through March.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the snow blowers and mowers and should contact a Toro service dealer for a free repair.
