White Floor Lamp

If you’re looking for a light to read by, then a halogen floor lamp might be just what you need. Many people never really consider what type of light they use, let alone what type of lamp. You can find lights that hang, sit on a table, shine down from the ceiling like spotlights or stand on the floor.

Floor lamps are great for reading because you can situate them exactly where you need them. They’re also good for lighting up corners or little details that you want to show. Halogen lighting is a great reading choice because it’s a white light rather than the light from standard bulbs that dims over the life of the bulb. That ability to cast a natural white light makes halogen the bulbs many people choose to use in track lighting designed to highlight certain items or architectural features in a room. One technique many designers use is to mix these bulbs with standard incandescent bulbs, because that makes the white light of the halogens stand out even more. They’re popular in spotlights used outdoors as well because they illuminate the space so well and last far longer than standard bulbs.
