how is a remote controlled ceiling fan hooked up to turn the light off and on with a wall switch?
the ceiling fan remote control handles the light and the fan speeds. how would it be hooked up that the remote can still turn the light on and off, but also the light could be controlled by the wall switch.
When wired in an existing home the switch will control the fan and light period. The remote cannot override the switch. For the remote fan/light to work you will have to have the wall switch in the ON position. I just leave my wall switch on all the time
