and if yes, which one is less dangerous? I'm not going to put the globe over it, but I need to study, and despite my parents saying I'll start a fire, I just am not down with the flourescent crap bulbs for an overhead light
yes it is bad because the socket is rated for 60 watts and less. Anything higher then 60 watts will cause the socket to fail and potentially start a fire.
