My 300th Video!!!!! An adaptor that I made for my Coleman 18V cordless drill, now corded. I made this from one of the dead batteries from the drill a beefy lamp cord some crimp-on female spade connectors and a 12 car lighter plug purchased from Walmart. I soldered the lamp cord onto the car lighter cord and removed the fuse and spring and replaced it with a piece of wire similar to a wire coat hanger. I fit the cord thru the original strain relief on the lighter plug. and on the other end I crimped on a couple of female Crimp on spade connectors to the original battery contacts. I used 2 of the original battery cells to give structual support in the gutted battery pack and then I cut a hole in the back of the battery and threaded the cord thru and padded the cord with lots of electrical tape. and now I have a near unlimited source of power for this drill and the circular saw the reciprocating saw and the other tools from the set. I use this with the jumpstarter seen here plus I think it can be used on a car’s lighter outlet but that hasn’t been tested yet but everything draws 12 amps or less depending on the tool used. the saws draw more amps like if your cutting plywood with the circular saw the jumpstarter’s overload may trip on the power port but it will reset in a few seconds and the light draws the least amps. well I hope you like this mod I made and if you have any questions please comment That’s what i say, I’ll give up portability over performance anyday, although the unit is still portable it’s just less convenient. but it beats spending a ton of money to replace the batteries in the packs. I’ve seen vids in here where DeWalt drills suffered from cheaply made overpriced batteries so I say rig your tools to run like this and don’t waste your hard earned money on replacement batteries.

I have a Craftsman 14.4 volt cordless drill and when I put the battery in it won't light up. Does this mean the battery is dead or the charger is no good? Thank you:)
Most probably it's the power output on the transformer that's gone, it's quite common with these units.
More common than the battery itself failing...that tends to be more progressive and you notice it not holding charge like it used to for some
Only a year later, the first remotely controlled robot, called Lunokhod 1, travelled more than 10km using solar energy, and was the original precursor of modern solar-powered cars. These were incredible feats of engineering, and an exciting time in our history because it marked a new era of exploration for humans.
The Moon might once again be on the horizon as we consider the possibility of building a manned outpost that could harbour a new generation of human pioneers. This is, of course, some way off, with many challenges in the interim, but it's an exciting prospect nonetheless - and one that Australia, as a nation, should start preparing for now.
