A GREAT opportunity to own a stunning Teak Mid Century Danish Modern Dining Chair Set designed by Niels Moller. This set is AMAZING & includes a total of 8 Teak chairs. 6 Side chairs and 2 larger arm or ”captain chairs”. The arm chairs are Model # 57′s and have the Moller Makers badge and Danish Control on underside. The set of 6 side chairs are nearly identicle to Moller Model # 77′s. The side chairs have a “Made in Denmark” stamp, but no Moller Tag. We believe them to be Moller, but they are not marked. Regardless they are a GREAT match to the 2 arm chairs and will make a great set of 8 for any Mid Century Danish Modern Dining Room. The chairs have very Modern, sculpted Design & Construction details throughout. Notice the Solid Teak, slightly curved backs. Also the scultpted Solid Teak Arms on the Model # 57 , SO HOTT!! The upholstery is the original Black Naugahyde and it looks amazing. Match them up with the Arne Vodder Dining Table we have pictured here and available through our website. Formal dining table - should we get 6 or 8 chairs?
We just moved into a new house. In the formal dining area we have room for a table that fits 6 chairs with enough room around. We could add another leaf to the table to extend it to fit 8 chairs. Should we buy 6 or 8 chairs?
Get 8 if you have somewhere you can store 2 of them either in the same room (away from the table) or in a garage/shed/loft or whatever.
If you really have nowhere to store the spare 2 I would think twice about buying them as 8 chairs squashed
